Nothing cracks my head more than creating compositions for a landscape shot. And it has been impossible to figure out an appropriate frame that taking a picture of the Bridge of the Americas.
Having done a quick research on where the sun arises, I figured early sunrise light would hit right on the bridge, and from my usual spot I woke up early once again to find an interesting frame with a Fuji X-T2 and the very sharp kit lens 18-55mm. Geared with proper nd grad filters and polarizers I felt I got some nice pictures, but I'lll be honest, afterwards checking them on LIghtroom they look color saturaded and boring. :-(
It's just too much empty sea before the distant bridge. This is not the proper spot, or the proper focal length. I'll share the pictures though, just to make a point.
However, I have made progress in terms of not letting frustrations into my emotions, so I kept an open mind and let creativity and inspirations take place with a more portable Fuji X-E2S and the modified with a cool hood XF 35mm F2 lens.
I could say a few pictures came about that I like, but I thought those saturated colors would look cool on a long exposure, and I think it did. Using the same X-T2 setup I added the Big stopper for a 60 seconds shoot… marvelous! I had to post it on Instagram, worth sharing indeed.
