It's been a while since feeling comfortable using a the 35mm equivalent "nifty-fifty".
I mean, today I carried the 18/35mm lens combo from Fuji with the X-E2S, but learning from last time's experience, I decided to mainly use the XF 35mm f2 and leave the 18mm alone, unless it was really necessary. I could say lesson learned. Going 50mm gives you distance, the capacity to anticipate next move, and the often street portrait that never misses to surprise.
Going 50mm provided me the opportunity to focus on the light, the shadows, the lines, and how to put all those elements together into an interesting composition. In my opinion, that's when photography happens. But I have to say that splitting available time into two different locations and activities: Cinta Costera (and a bit of landscape), and Casco/Santa Ana (street), is a mistake I have to be careful not to make again.
By the way, I'll try to shoot more Santa Ana, I'll try little by little to scout the area, which to me it feels more about the people. Let's see how it goes.
